This plant-based sponge is 100% biodegradable and consists of a soft cellulose sponge topped with a scrubber made of PLA (a biodegradable polyester derived from renewable resources, mostly corn starch). The scrubber is stitched on the cellulose with a cotton thread. Can be composted at the end of its life. Unlike conventional sponges, it is dye-free and contains no plastics and toxic adhesives. Because of its soft and scrubby side, it is the perfect multi-purpose sponge for kitchen and bath. 

This sponge is a great eco-friendly alternative to conventional yellow-green scrub sponges that end up in the trash. The only downside: they come in a plastic pouch, but so do conventional sponges so overall still a better option.
